    Oakridgers – The Olympians
    Oakridgers stand ahead in every sphere they appear. Be it sports or any co curricular activity at any level, the winner in them strives to be at the top. Students of various grades of Oakridge has participated in National Science Olympiad exams and many of them got gold medals and got shortlisted for the next level. The national Olympiad is being conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation every year to bring out those champs who are extra ordinary in their academics.

    Time To Celebrate… Oakridge initiative “ASK YOUR KID” series won the World Education Award 2013 in the Innovation in Teaching Pedagogy category. ‘Ask your kid’ is an initiative where mobile technology is used in a unique and interesting way for knowledge transfer. Kudos to the Oakridge Visakhapatnam team for their innovative approach towards the advancement of learning process.

    Oakridger Srimukh Oddiraju got admitted into the prestigious University of Chicago, specializing in Economics which is one of the premier courses the University put forward.
    Proud to share that Srimukh stood one among those 2500 students who got selected to the University within the 30,000 applicants worldwide. We wish him triumph in all his future endeavors. And The Legacy Continues !!!
    Recognition For Oakridge Newton
    Oakridge Newton Campus, has received The Innovative Institution Award in the 2012 e- Pals-Smithsonian Spark!Lab Invent IT Challenge. This award is given for the school with the most individual classrooms entering the contest.

    Grade 5 student Nitin has won the Student challenge(Dispensometer) as well.
    Oakridge Boys Basketball Team- Champs of all seasons
    Oakridge International School Under 16 Boys Basket Ball team participated in the 5th Annual DC Sports meet held 2013 and remained winners of the match. The tournament held at Indus international School. Final match took place between Oakridge and All Saints School, where Oakridge defeated them with a score of 35:25.
    Tanishq Malpani’s success at All India Tennis Tournament
    Tanishq Malpani of Grade VI is a proud title winner of ALL INDIA TENNIS TOURNAMENTS. He participated in the category of boys under 12 doubles tournament, which held at Silver Springs Tennis Academy, Indore from 7th Jan to 11th Jan, 2012. With his tremendous performance he has made his parents and school honored.
    Inter School Table Tennis Champs
    Nishant Gupta and Joyjeet Gupta of grade IX remained winners in D.C Inter School Table Tennis doubles Tournament held at INDUS INTERNATIOAL SCHOOL on 29th January. In the finals they defeated SBVP SCHOOL by the score of 11-2, 11-8, and 11-8. Many talent Doubles Teams from more than 8 schools participated in the competition.
    Yet Another Golden Feather to Oakridge’s Prestigious Hat
    Oakridgers always brings proud and glory to the school with their outstanding performances in every sphere they appear. Following this legacy, another Oakridger Abhav Kedia made it to arrive at Oxford. Abhav got admitted to Exeter College, one of the oldest constituent colleges of Oxford University and he chose Mathematics as his major area of studies.

    Oakridge International School under 14 Boys Tennis Team Aditya and Ajay remained 2nd runner up in the team event and gained 4 positions in the singles out of 52 at the CBSE Tennis National held at GH Goel World School Raipur from 20th December to 24th December 2012. Schools from all over India and Middle East participated in the tournament.
    Oakridger excelled in Spell Bee Mega Final Nationals

    Oakridger Shanti Rayudu brought great accomplishment to the school with her achievement in the Spell Bee Mega Final National held at Kolkata on 22nd December. She won over children from more than 350 schools across India. Oakridge acknowledge her immense talent and intelligence. We announce her victory to the world with great pleasure and prestige.
    Oakridgers came first in TAISI Sports Tournament
    Oakridge International School U 16 Boys and Girls Basketball Team, U 16 Swimming Girls Team participated in the 5th The Association of International Schools of India (TAISI) SPORTS Meet held at The International School of Bangalore from 17 to 19 Dec 2012. Both boys and girls basketball teams won the tournament.
    In Swimming OIS received 8 Gold and 6 Silver.
    Amitha Gondi of grade VII and Shubham Gupta of grade VIII participated in the National Triathlon and Aquathlon Championship held at Indore MP on 15 and 16 Dec 2012, Amitha received 7 positions out of 34 participants, participated in the400mt Swimming and 3 km running. Shubham received 11 position out of 52 participants participated in the 500mt Swimming and 4kms Running.

    Oakridger Sindhu Pagadala made it to secure an admission at renowned Jerome Fisher Program from UPENN for a dual degree. The Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology (also known as M&T) is a joint-degree program offered at the University of Pennsylvania for undergraduates. Students enrolled in the M&T Program pursue degrees from both schools of Management & Technology concurrently, creating a true interdisciplinary learning experience.
    A Proud Moment to Cherish
    Oakridge student Ms. Phani Srineetha Maddineni of Grade XII made the school proud with her achievement in taking part in a course on Technology Entrepreneurship under Professor Tom Kosnik of Stanford University. She has taken this course as a part of High School Summer College Program for time duration from 23rd June 2012 to 18th August 2012. She earned an ‘A’ grade in the course with her hard work and focused effort.
    Oakridger Harshvardhan Lahoti Excelled in State Championship

    Harshvardhan Lahoti, the rising champ from Oakridge emerged as one of the best Table Tennis players of the State. Harsh finished as runner up in the recent State Level Table Tennis Championship held at L B Stadium. Harsh attended all the Zonal National Tennis Tournaments this year and won State Ranking Tournaments twice in 2012. He has always maintained his state ranking in top 3 Bracket in sub junior’s category and is on top 8 State Player in Junior ranking and top 12 in Youth category.
    Under 19 Basket Ball Team Succeed in Interschool Tournament
    Oakridge U-19 Basket Ball Team has won the Thomas Nathaniel Inter School Basketball Tournament conducted by Word and Deed School from 15 to 17 Nov 2012. The final match was against Host School and Oakridgers won by 40 to 24.More than 16 schools and junior schools participated in the tournament. The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000. Vibhu Appalaraju of Grade XI awarded the best player of the tournament.
    Oakridgers made it to the South Zone Swimming Nationals
    Five of the Oakridge students got selected to participate in the South Zone Swimming Nationals. The proud winners are: Tanvi, Ahalya, Amita, Ananya and Aditya.
    Oakridge Student Titled Best Player of the Tournament
    Sharon Biju of Grade VIII has participated in the School Games Federation Basketball Tournament in Under 14 category held at Chitoor District and remained runner up. She has won the title of best player of the tournament and got selected for Nationals to be held at VAARNA NAGAR Maharashtra in last week Nov 2012.
    Oakridger to take part in Under 19 Table Tennis Nationals:
    Arsh Agarwal, Grade XI student participated in the School Games Federation State Meet in Table Tennis Under 19 category which held at Ananthapur on 5th and 6th November 2102. He has been selected for Nationals going to happen at Delhi in the month of Dec 2012.
    Oakridgers excelled in Under 17 Swimming Competition :
    Oakridge students brought proud again to school with their brilliant performances. The Under 17 Swimming Team participated in the South Zone Selection match of Ranga Reddy District which held on 4th November 2012 at GHMC Swimming Pool Secundrabad. The team is selected for the State Meet to be held at Warangal from 10 Nov 2012. The proud winners are: TRISHA JAIN, ADITI LAKATIAH, TANVI, AHALAYA RAJAGOPALAN, and ANANYA REDDY.
    Oakridger to participate in National Swimming Championship:
    Oakridge proudly announces the achievement of Shubham Pandey who participated in the School Game Federation (SGF) Ranga Reddy District Swimming Competition and won silver medal in 50 mts Butterfly, silver medal in 100 mts individual medley, and Bronze in 200 mts Butterfly. And also he got selected to the Nationals which to be held in Pune on 15th November.
    The triumph of students at CBSE Inter School Basketball Tournament:
    Oakridge students participated in the in the CBSE Cluster VIIth Inter School Basketball Tournament (from 27 to 30 Oct 2012) conducted by CRPF Public School Hakimpet Hyderabad. Oakridge international school Under 19 boys Basketball team won the tournament against Jain International School Bangalore for the score of 58-8. Around 40 schools from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka participated in the tournament. The team is participating in the Nationals which are going to take place at Jaipur from 6th to 11th of December.
    Success of Oakridger at CBSE South Zone swimming Competition:
    CBSE South Zone Swimming Competition 2012-13 held in Oakridge Bachupally Einstein campus and Grade VII student Amita Gondi won Gold medal in 50mts Butterfly Stroke, 50mts Free Style, and Silver medal in 100mts Free Style. Congratulations to the winners.
    Oakridge Student chosen for National:
    Arvind Achantha brought another golden feather to Oakridge as he got selected for the National basket Ball Tournament which is going to take place in Rajasthan from 3rd November 2012.
    Oakridgers to Take Part in Under 17 Tennis Nationals:
    Oakridge International School Under 14 Boys Tennis Team has won the CBSE South Zone Tennis Tournament conducted by PBSS Sr. Sec School Chennai from 29th Oct, 2012 to 1st Nov, 2012. The winner team will be participating in CBSE Nationals to be held at N.H. Goel World School, Raipur from 20th Dec to 24th Dec, 2012.
    ‘Global Children’s Challenge 2012’ Taken up By Oakridgers:
    Junior school of Newton campus’s students in 24 sections from grade IV, V and VI have been selected to participate in Global Children's Challenge 2012. GCC is a health initiative designed to get children from all over the world active, and instill in them the habit and importance of daily exercise for the rest of their lives. The 50 day challenge begins 19th September, 2012 and ends 7th November, 2012.
    Dexterous Hindi Diwas:
    Oakridge student Nukkad Natak of grade V won second prize in the Hindi Diwas organized by Glendale Academy.
    Talents of Oakridge took part in Glendale Literary Fest:
    Nine Oakridge students from Junior and senior school (Newton Campus) participated in the Glendale Literary Fest 2012 organized by Glendale Academy on 8th and 9th August. Among the participants Bhavya Tibrewal of grade VI won Second prize in the Essay writing in Sub Junior category, Shreya Sreedhar of grade VIII won the First prize in Elocution in junior category, Raval Reddy of grade X won the Second Prize in the Elocution in the senior category and Siddhant & Santosh and Tana of grade XI won First prize in the Cambridge style Debate.
    Oakridgers triumph at CBSE Interschool Tennis Tournament:
    Oakridge students made the school proud with their victory in the CBSE South Zone Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament 2012-2013. The four Oakridgers brought triumph to Schools are Tanuj Agarwal (grade XII), Arsh Agarwal (grade XI), Dotnesh Agarwal (grade XI) and Harsh Lahoti (grade VIII).
    Oakridge Students participated in Interschool Sports Fest:
    Oakridge students conquered the Inter School Sports Fest conducted by Indus International School from September 11 to 13. Basket Ball Girls & Boys teams of grade IV and V, Tennis Girls team of grade IV and V, Tennis Boys team of grade VI, VII &VIII, Soccer Boys team of grade V, VII &VIII were the winners of the fest. Apart from these teams, Soccer Boys team of grade IV and V were runner ups and Basket Ball Boys & Girls team of grade VI, VII and VIII were 2nd runner ups in the tournament.
    The Golden Feather in the Hat:
    Oakridge International School, Einstein campus is accredited with the British Council's INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD adding another feather to Oakridge’s cap. The school proudly appreciates the hard work of the students and teachers headed by Visionary Principal, C. Adilakshmi for achieving this milestone.
    Oakridgers’ Artistic Talent at Art Competition:
    Avirash Deshpande, grade XII student participated in the Rotary club art competition ‘Chinni Chinni Asha’ and managed to score 2nd prize among the 1400 participants from different schools of the twin cities.
    Talent showcase of Oakridgers at interschool competition:
    Jubilee Hills Public school organized interschool competition for students on subjects like Mad Ad, Egg Shell Painting, Draw & Describe, Vegetable Carving, Group Dance, Debate, Fusion Dance, Photography, Short Film making, Shloka Recitation, Turn Coat, Group Song, Quiz, Digital Art and Solo Song. 54 students from Oakridge participated in various competitions and among them Jay awarded 1st prize and Chitin awarded 2nd prize in Mad Ads, Shreya Sridhar awarded 1st prize in Turn Coat, Rohit Reddy awarded 1st prize in digital painting, Shruthi awarded 1st prize in Vegetable Carving, Jyothi awarded 2nd prize in Photography and the Oakridge group won 1st prize in Group Folk Dance.
    Oakridge talents at Chirec MUN:
    47 students participated as delegates in the Model United Nations conducted by Chirec Public School, Hydeabad. Among the delegates some of Oakridgers received recognition such as Outstanding Delegates: - Aastha Batra, JanardhanPashupati, Nikhil Chowdri, AbhikTambe. Best Delegates: - Sidhanth Prasad, SrimukhOddiraju, Kanshika Mittal. Honourable Mention: SrihitaBongu, Atul Lanka, TanaKonda, GirishDuvvuri.
    The proud participants of Green Conference:
    20 Oakridge students participated in the green conference. Among the participants from 20 different schools, Oakridgers managed to get Best 3 Delegate Awards, 4 Outstanding Representation, and 4 Commendations. The overall award for the maximum number of awards was also won by Oakridge.
    National Green Corps MUN:
    NGC MUN India conducted a Model UN on Biodiversity for the students and teachers during the COP11 as parallel event. There were workshops conducted for students. 3 students were Oakridge Siddhanth Prasad, DivijaZoldeo and Padma Priya were a part of this conference. Siddhanth Prasad represented the conference in the capacity of the Secretary General. He was also a part of council meetings with the international diplomats along with Padma Priya at the HICC.
    Oakridge Boys Cricket Team to Play State Level:
    School Boys Cricket Team of Oakridge Visakhapatnam campus has won triangle series tournament, which held at Railway grounds and Andhra University ground. Oakridge won the match and Mourya awarded Man of the Match and Man of the Series and Harsha awarded Best Bowler. The proud winners of the team are: Mourya, Abhishek, Naveen, JatinJash, Vinesh, Salman, Deepak Bapujee, Hrushikesh, Praneeth, Jaya Chandra, Pavan, Srinivas, Harsha, and Rohit Kumar.
    State Level Spell Bee Competition:
    Students from Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam participated in spell bee competition (Preliminary round) at Bhashyam School and selected for the Final round which will be held at Hyderabad on 18th November. The winners are: Dvij Sharma, Abhinav Samavedula, Shanthi Rayudu.
