Oakridgers Shines in Umang - Hindi Diwas
Every year on September 14th Hindi Diwas is celebrated to give due credit and importance to Indian language, that has a long history. Hindi is Spoken as a mother tongue by millions of people and is also known as the fifth largest language in the world.
Being one of the most expressive of all languages, our students from Grade I to Grade V found the Glendale Academy Utsav Umang competition held on September 11th and 12th as part of the Hindi Diwas celebrations, the right platform to showcase their literary skills. In spite of being pitted against talents from other schools, the Oakridgers showed their worth by achieving no fewer than three prizes. Tarasha from Grade II won the first prize for the Poem Recitation Competition. Tanishka from Grade III won the second prize for Story Telling and Vishesh, Samarth, Siddharth, Kritin, Anish and Kaushal from Grade IV bagged the third prize for Laghu Hasya Natika.

Oakridger Ritika Rao, the youngest in the world to achieve FCE
Oakridger Ritika Rao, the youngest in the world to have her First Certificate in English (FCE). She cleared her Cambridge First Certificate in English with the highest honours of pass at Grade A showing exceptional abilities in reading, writing, use of English, listening and speaking.
By this achievement, Ritika demonstrated ability at Council of Europe level C1 which is equivalent to NQF Level 2 and also certificate in Advanced English of Cambridge University.

Oakridgers at the Game Jam Titans 2014
5 students of Oakridge Einstein Campus Lokesh Duvvuru, Vineetha Pachava, Spoorthi T, Nitesh Sai, Harshal K was chosen by the Jury of Game Jam Titans 2014, Hyderabad. The Game designed by them using a software called Unity was among the top 5 games.

Her recent elation in the RangaReddy District Badminton Championship was another example of her dedication and hard work towards badminton.

Oakridger Harsh Lohoti won the state ranking table tennis tournament held at ST, PAUL'S table tennis academies. Harsh defeated Shehit of Bharathi Vidhya Bhavan school by 12-10,11-9,11-9,12-10.

Oakridgers to take part in the Boston Young Entrepreneurship Challenge
Oakridgers - Ananya. P, Sanjana Reddy, Nribhay Sindhi, Sherya Reddy, Pravallika Reddy, Rachna Vunka, Eshika Agarwal, Vishal Bommenna, Ujjwal Bansal and Harsha Chitturi will be participating in the Boston University’s Young Entrepreneurship Challenge, from 6th July to 12th July at Boston.
The team also attends the 3-day workshop on College Preparation Program, conducted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Tufts University and North-eastern University from 13th July to 15th July 2014.

Oakridger Trio sail towards TyE glory
A team of 3 Oakridgers -Dost Alladin,Pranathi Dandu,Jaswant Tumala has been selected for the 8-member team from India which shall be competing with 26 teams from different countries at TyE Global Competition 2014, to be held at Vancouver, Canada.
Initially, A group of 30 students from various schools had joined the TyE young entrepreneurs training program in the month of October 2013, wherein they went through an intensive 16 week training program.
A competition was held at International School of Business, Hyd, The first two winning teams were given the opportunity to plan and work on a new business idea to be represented at Vancouver 2014.

Oakridger Vaishnavi accelerates to the National level Badminton Championship
Oakridger Jakka Vaishnavi Reddy has represented the school at the RangaReddy District Badminton Championship from 27th to 29th May at PJR Stadium, Chandanagar and has emerged as a true winner.
She was the winner of Under-13 Doubles, Under-15 Singles, Under-15 Doubles, Under-17, 19 Doubles and was also the 1st Runner up in the Under-13 Singles Badminton Championship and will be soon contesting in the National Level Badminton Championship.

Oakridge Ayush Rudraraju is Ranked No. 39 in ISSF World Ratings
Oakridger Ayush Rudraraju of Grade VIII CIE has achieved a World Ranking of no. 39 and an Indian team Rank of No. 2, in 1st International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Junior Cup in SUHL, Germany.
He is the youngest Athlete ever to compete in the history of the ISSF Junior Competition, thus making his parents and the school proud!

Vamsi of Grade XII recently participated in the State level 3-km cross-country race held at Karimnagar. Ayush Rudraraju of Rifle Association of Andhra Pradesh won two Gold medals in the Skeet Men Junior and Skeet Men Senior Category with a score of 22+21 (43/50) at the just concluded 23rd All India G V Mavlankar Shooting Championship in Shotgun events. The Shooting Championship was conducted by New Moti Bagh Gun Club under the patronage of the National Rifle Association of India from 6th to 13th November 2013 at NMBGC Shooting Ranges, Patiala, Punjab.
This is the highest score ever achieved by a 12-year-old at any National Level Shotgun Championship.

Oakridge Newton Campus, has received The Innovative Institution Award in the 2012 e- Pals-Smithsonian Spark!Lab Invent IT Challenge. This award is given for the school with the most individual classrooms entering the contest.

Oakridge International School Under 16 Boys Basket Ball team participated in the 5th Annual DC Sports meet held 2013 and remained winners of the match. The tournament held at Indus international School. Final match took place between Oakridge and All Saints School, where Oakridge defeated them with a score of 35:25.
