People Combine - CSR Policy

Vision:
“We will ensure sustainability by doing what is right, through the adoption of sustainable business practices, employee policies and technologies.”

Purpose:
We endeavor to protect the interests of all our stakeholders and contribute to society at large, by making a measurable and positive difference through the four causes we support viz.:

  • Livelihood & Employability
  • Health
  • Education
  • Environment

Resources:
We will utilize 2% of the average net profits of the Company made during three immediate preceding Financial Years. Any surplus arising out of Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) projects, programmes or activities, shall not form part of the business profit of the Company and would be ploughed back for CSR activities.

Sectors and Issues, we will focus on:

  • Education: Supporting projects and programs for the education of children from the affirmative action and weaker sections of the society
  • Employability: Projects and programs aimed at skilling and employment of differently abled youth and youth from the affirmative action communities
  • Entrepreneurship: Projects and programs aimed at creating successful business enterprises for affirmative action communities
  • Environment: Protecting bio-diversity in selected regions
  • Disaster Relief: Contributions towards disaster relief and rehabilitation through appropriate agencies

Geographies and target communities: Our preferred focus will be Geographies which we operate in. Our target communities will be children, youth, needy and affirmative action communities.

Implementing mechanism: We will implement our projects solely or through specialized organizations under the guidance, supervision and control of CSR Committee, a Board Level Committee, duly constituted as per the provisions of Companies Act, 2013.

CSR activities will be driven by the CSR Committee and the members be nominated by the Board of Directors from time to time.

The Board Level Committee will meet whenever required for planning, execution, implementation and review of CSR projects/programs on the ground.

Roles and Responsibilities of the CSR Committee

  • To be the central co-coordinating point for handling Company’s all CSR programs across India and elsewhere.
  • To interface with the various organizational units internally and externally to ensure effective implementation of projects undertaken.
  • Interface with the Board to submit reports and to seek approvals, if any, from time to time.
  • Reporting to the Management on all progress made in the CSR interventions throughout the year.
  • To plan the annual budgets for CSR activities to be undertaken.

Monitoring: The CSR Committee would be responsible of monitoring approved projects, which may include site visits, meetings and progress reports etc. This will be done based on the milestones and success indicators, defined for the project together with the Implementing Agency. While executing through specialized organizations, it will be the responsibility of the such specialized organizations i.e. implementing agency(ies), to provide the project progress report on a periodic basis (frequency to be decided based on the nature of underlying project).

Reporting: The CSR Committee will report to the Board on CSR activities and its report be part of Company’s Board Report. The reporting format would be the same as prescribed in the rules notified by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and as amended from time to time.
