- 26 November 2021
Oakridge International School Mohali re-opened its doors for In-school learning for students from Nursery to Grade 4 after a long period of virtual schooling. Students were thrilled to be back at the school physically and teachers were happy seeing the school premises buzzing again with action. With gleaming smiles behind their masks, they greeted each other with air high fives & hugs. The day witnessed students and new starters exploring their new classrooms and getting reacquainted with their peers.
“The last year had not been easy on everyone; however, working together and supporting each other, parents and teachers were able to keep learning uninterrupted.” Said Ms. Ramanjit Ghuman, Principal at Oakridge Mohali.
The school ensured their student’s education remain uninterrupted through their seamless and interactive Virtual schooling experience over the last year. Oakridge Mohali students also had access to Global Campus, an integrated online learning platform that connected 68000 students globally across 31 countries, so students were able to collaboratively learn and engage in several challenging projects.
The school has put stringent protocols in place to ensure students and staff have a safe schooling experience. Right from mandatory body temperature check-ups at the entrance, sanitizing stations across the campus, social distancing-based seating set-up in classrooms, and a mandatory mask rule always for students, staff, and any other personnel entering the campus.
“Our teachers and admin staff are very alert about these measures, and our school is a second safe home for our students”, says Ms. Ramanjit Ghuman, Principal at Oakridge Mohali.
“A lot of time, effort, and thought has gone into the process of planning the routines and the readiness of the school prior to the opening,” says Vineet Gill – Head of Primary Years at Oakridge International School, Mohali.
