Dear Oakridge Community, 

As we embrace the arrival of autumn, I am delighted to share with you the extraordinary accomplishments and memorable moments that have illuminated the month of September at our beloved Oakridge Mohali. This month has truly been a celebration of dedication, perseverance, and excellence across various domains. 

Outstanding Achievements in Sports 

Our students have once again showcased their remarkable talents on the sports field, bringing glory to our school and the state of Punjab. From the Punjab Khed Mela to the Punjab State Games and numerous local tournaments, our athletes have consistently demonstrated exceptional skills and sportsmanship. We are immensely proud of our young sports stars, and our Physical Education (PE) team, who have nurtured these talents over time. We look forward to witnessing their continued growth and success in the world of sports. 

Academics Excellence 

In addition to their remarkable sporting achievements, our students have also excelled in their academic pursuits. The recent examinations bore witness to their hard work and commitment to their studies. We commend both our students and teachers for their collaborative efforts, and we remain committed to providing an environment that fosters academic excellence and holistic growth. 

Teachers: The Pillars of Excellence 

Our dedicated team of educators continues to be the driving force behind our school’s success. This month, our IB PYP teachers embarked on IB training programs, further enriching their pedagogical skills and expanding their horizons in international education.

Furthermore, I am pleased to share that many of our teachers have received heartfelt appreciation from our parent community. The flood of personal emails and glowing Google Reviews is a testament to the positive impact our teachers have on the lives of our students. Your words of encouragement and recognition mean a great deal to us, and they serve as a source of inspiration for our educators to continue striving for excellence.

Remembering the Bravery: Saragarhi Day Special Assembly

Join us in commemorating the indomitable spirit and unwavering courage of the 21 Sikh soldiers who stood as an epitome of valor at the Battle of Saragarhi. On Saragarhi Day, the school community paid tribute to these heroes who, 124 years ago, defended their post against overwhelming odds with unmatched bravery.

Through stories of valour and sacrifice, let’s inspire ourselves to face challenges with the same determination and unity. Together, as a school community, we honour their legacy and pledge to uphold the values of courage, duty, and sacrifice in our own lives. Harmony in Action: Students Illuminate Peace Day with Nukkad Natak and Candlelight

In a resounding celebration of unity and tranquility, our school marked International Day of Peace with an enchanting blend of creativity and serenity. Our spirited Grade 2 students took center stage, casting a powerful spell with their thought-provoking Nukkad Natak (street play) that stirred hearts and sparked conversations on peace.

We also gathered around for a mesmerizing candle lighting ceremony, symbolizing our collective commitment to fostering a world where harmony reigns supreme.

With passion and purpose, our young minds echoed the call for a more peaceful tomorrow.

Tech Timeout Turns Green: Oakridge Students E-Fast and Cultivate Bottle Biospheres 

We proud to share that the thoughtful efforts of our students on e-fasting and cultivation of bottle biospheres was appreciated a lot in the tricity. The story was covered by over 160 online and offline media houses. In the online domain,  the print, Hans India, ANI, Lokmat Times, NewsVoire and in offline- Ajit, Punjabi Ajit, Punjab Jagran, Sky Hawk and Aman Sandesh Times were the major names.out to uncover the magic behind assigning tasks to kids and how it shapes them into resourceful individuals.
