The Investiture Ceremony at Oakridge Bachupally marked a significant moment—the formal installation of the newly elected student council members. As the ceremony concluded, the three Prefect Representatives- Ansh Beniwal, Ishanka Pallera, and Vasu Dev Sahoo shared their sentiments, “We stand united in our commitment to lead with integrity and inspire our peers, embracing the responsibilities that come with our roles as Prefect Representatives, and demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges.” Clad in their badges of responsibility, these young leaders stepped into their roles, ready to inspire their peers and contribute to the school’s ethos.
The Global University Expo 2024 at Oakridge Bachupally was an enriching experience, offering students a unique platform to explore diverse global learning opportunities.
In the coming weeks, Oakridge Bachupally will be inviting parents to participate in the University Expo, providing them with the opportunity to actively engage in their children’s higher education journey. The involvement of parents shall provide a collaborative environment where students can make informed decisions about their future academic pursuits, with the support and guidance of their families.
Vicky Sparks, the Social Impact Program Manager at Nord Anglia Education, visited our school for a day filled with inspiration and impact. During her visit, Vicky engaged with students who had received Social Impact Grants, collaborating with the school’s Professional Learning Team (PLT) to catalyze collective action towards a better world. Vicky was deeply impressed by our school’s culture and emphasized the importance of collaboration and shared goals when it comes to social impact initiatives. The visit served as a celebration of our school’s journey in making a positive difference in the world, with Vicky’s presence and insights further motivating our community to continue striving for meaningful change
Oakridge Bachupally launched its 15th-anniversary celebrations with an invigorating 5K run, promoting health and community spirit.
The 5K run brought together students, parents, and faculty in a spirited display of community engagement and health awareness. With over 700 participants, the event underscored the importance of physical wellness and collective effort, reinforcing the bonds that unite the Oakridge family.
From July 12th to 14th, our students from Grade 10, IBDP 1, and IBDP 2 embarked on an unforgettable journey to the Rocksport Adventure Camp in Pedda Amberpet.
Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 visited Rashtrapati Nilayam, combining education with exploration of India’s presidential heritage. They gained knowledge about India’s political history and cultural heritage, fostering a sense of pride in their national identity.
In the fourth week of July, we celebrated Literacy Week with engaging activities to foster a love for reading and storytelling. Grade 2 and 3 students participated in group storytelling, while Grades 4 and 5 created class newspapers, sparking creativity and teamwork.
The Nursery celebrated Mathematics in a truly unique way! Parents and children teamed up to creatively illustrate various math concepts, proudly sharing their roles as they walked the ramp. The event, titled “Math-O-Magic and Fashion,” was a delightful blend of creativity and learning, highlighting the confidence and poise of our students as they took the stage for the very first time!
During this immersive experience, the kids forged stronger bonds with their classmates and engaged in thrilling activities that fostered teamwork and resilience.
Operational Update:
As Oakridge introduces new initiatives like Olympiad Exams, RFID technology, and Maker’s Space, we continue to prioritize safety, innovation, and holistic development.
We are currently upgrading our facilities to enhance the learning environment. New AC units are being installed in A Block, and we anticipate their completion by October 2024.
Our restrooms are undergoing refurbishment, and we are halfway through procuring new resources for our labs, library, Physical Education, and arts. Additionally, the Makerspace installation has been initiated and will be fully operational by the third week of September 2024.

Looking ahead to the upcoming IB evaluation, Oakridge Bachupally is committed to enhancing professional development for our teachers through a variety of leadership conferences and workshops. In addition, Cambridge Primary teachers will be taking part in specialized sessions and attending workshops designed to deepen their understanding of effective teaching practices. These sessions will focus on innovative strategies and collaborative learning, enabling our educators to bring fresh perspectives to their classrooms.

Oakridge Bachupally Model United Nations (BMUN) has received an impressive response this year, garnering over 500 entries for its upcoming event, which is set to take place from August 9th to 11th. This significant participation reflects the growing interest among students in engaging with global issues and developing their skills in diplomacy and public speaking. We are honored to welcome Drayton Heard, Deputy Non-Immigrant Visa Chief at the US Consulate General in Hyderabad, as our esteemed chief guest. This third edition offers ten diverse committees, addressing a wide range of global topics. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced participant, there’s something for everyone at OakBMUN24.
In light of this exciting event, we will be hosting virtual classes for grades 6 to 12 on Friday, August 9th, 2024.
