Dear Oakridge Community,

October has been a month filled with inspiring achievements and meaningful experiences. From our basketball team winning gold at the CBSE Cluster Championship to being ranked among India’s top schools, we are proud of our students and educators’ hard work. This month, our youngest learners showcased their language and social skills, while Grade 5 Cambridge students engaged in thought-provoking debates. Our commitment to community well-being was evident as DP1 students organized a dental camp for our support staff.

Grade 5 Cambridge students honed their research, communication, and respectful debate skills as they discussed the topic, “Should zoos be abolished?” They showcased confidence and critical thinking.

Our Grade 2 students explored the fascinating world of shadows and light, understanding how different objects interact with light and learning about transparency and opacity.

Inter House Spell Bell Competition

The Inter House Spell Bee competition for CBSE Grade 6-12 was an engaging event promoting literacy and friendly competition. Students showcased their spelling skills by tackling words from common vocabulary, advanced categories, and even tricky subject-specific terms. Through audio clips, participants transcribed words, highlighting their linguistic prowess and confidence.

Bronze Medalist

Congratulations to Nidhi from Grade 12 for winning a bronze medal while representing Telangana in the Junior National Throwball Championship. We are proud of her outstanding achievement.

Swimming Streak

Krisha, Grade 5 PYP, secured a bronze medal at the CBSE National Swimming Competition, held from 11th to 14th October in Bhubaneswar.

Classical Dance

Shriyadita from IGCSE 6B performed at the prestigious Ravindra Bharathi. The event was organized by Bharath Arts Academy, where she was awarded for her extraordinary performance. She has now advanced to Tarangam, a classical dance performed on a brass plate, in Kuchipudi.
