As we wrap up with October memories and step into a new month clustered with stellar accomplishments, educational excursions, challenging competitions, and so much more. Let us explore the recent school happenings and the events streamlined, focusing on students’ overall holistic growth.

Business Cohort Success:
A major achievement from the previous month that overshadowed the rest was the participation of our DP2 students in the Business Cohort Competition along with many other renowned schools. All our students performed impressively; however, Puneet Kaur from Dp1 and Tejasvi from 11 J bagged the special prize categorized under the event named Brand Toasting. This award contributed to another moment of pride for the Oakridgers.

As we step into November, I would like to share a few snippets of the events lined up that will feature the immense talent and IB traits inculcated in our learners.

Upcoming Events

Annual Parent Satisfaction Survey

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Annual Parent Satisfaction Survey from 11^th November to 30^th November. A platform for all supportive parents to contribute their valuable feedback in helping us enhance the overall educational impact for our learners.

Reader’s Rally

We will be launching a Readers Rally PAN India reading competition on November 1^st., aiming to enhance learners’ reading skills and track their growth. The competition results will be announced on 15th January 2025, and we are eagerly waiting to observe how our students approach this task.

World Children’s Day

We are all geared up to host an inter-house debate competition for Grades 2 to 12 on World Children’s Day, empowering their critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skill set in an official context.

Sports Day Grades Nursery to 1

The school will be witnessing a sports day on November 23 focused on physical fitness and teamwork while learning the virtues of sportsmanship and resilience amongst our tiny tots.

Explorative Journeys

Captivating field trips for the PYP sections shall take place, from visits to My Hindi Channel and Mini Jaggery Mill to Nursery Plant, intended to provide a valuable real-world context forming a part of their Unit of Inquiry curriculum.

Global pathways

Our senior secondary students will experience a live session conducted by delegates from the University of Alberta, Canada. This interaction will allow them to envision their future in a global educational setting and further assist them in decision-making.

Guru Purab Festivities

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purab, the Oakridgers have planned the sacred ritual of Prabhat Pheri, accompanied by a special assembly showcasing their love and respect for the culture imbibed in their roots.

November will be quite an occupied month in terms of cultural pursuits for our learners, allowing them to appreciate community structures within the school setting while simultaneously broadening their horizons in terms of global understanding. Oakridge International School, Mohali, continues to be the top-ranked school in Mohali, promising a world filled with immense opportunities and exposure to its learners.
