November has been an exciting month at Oakridge, filled with numerous events and celebrations. From Children’s Day festivities and Early University Placements to outstanding achievements in sports, our students have truly excelled in many areas.
Preparations for our 16th Annual Sports Prize Day were fantastic, and we were delighted to see our Oakridgers deliver some truly memorable performances. Thank you for joining us to witness this wonderful event.

OISV MUN – Youth for a sustainable future
The three-day OISV- MUN themed “Youth for a Sustainable Future,” was hosted from November 8-10. This year’s chapter 2 brought together a vibrant group of school-level debaters and young diplomats from across the city, who offered an engaging and thought-provoking learning experience. The conference was open to students from grades 8-10 and focused on the vital issue of achieving sustainable goals. The event featured two committees where students engaged in lively debates and collaborative discussions on the agendas set.
The chief guest, Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dean (Academics) and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Chair Professor (Fintech & Financial Inclusion) at the Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam, emphasized the importance of the student cohort coming together to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He highlighted that change begins at home and that collective efforts can make a significant impact, particularly in areas like ensuring clean water access for the majority and addressing the effects of climate change.
16 years of Athletic Excellence: Annual Sports Prize Day
The 16th Annual Sports Prize Day was held on 23 November at its school ground in the lush green sprawling lawns. Celebrating talent, teamwork, and triumph at the grand closing ceremony of the 16th Annual Sports Prize Day! From high-energy taekwondo drill to synchronized and colourful classical dance the day was a true reflection of our students’ spirit. With inspiring words from our Principal, Ms. Shaila Bhamidipati, and a special address by our esteemed Chief Guest, Captain Divakar Shankar, the event was a testament to the power of sports and extracurriculars in shaping future leaders.

The exhibition showcased a stunning array of student-created artworks on canvas. It was a delightful experience for all attendees, including parents and the chief guest Captain Divakar Shankar, Officer-in-charge, Electrical Trail & Modification unit, ENC who thoroughly enjoyed the creativity and talent on display.

Children’s Day Celebrations
On 14th November, both the campuses marked Children’s Day celebrations with great enthusiasm, hosting a special assembly to celebrate the essence of childhood and the power of education. The event was filled with vibrant performances and engaging activities, all led by our dedicated teachers.
The day began with an inspiring speech by Principal Ms. Shaila Bhamidipati, who spoke about the significance of the occasion and the important role children play in shaping the future. Afterward, the teachers took the spotlight, entertaining everyone with a range of acts including a funny skit, lively musical performances, and an energetic dance routine. The students were thrilled to see their teachers shine beyond the classroom, showcasing their diverse talents!

Whether discovering new stories or revisiting beloved classics, each moment was filled with the joy and magic of reading.
Devaansh Rolls to Victory: Silver, Bronze, and Nationals Await!
We are thrilled to announce that Devaansh from Grade 1D achieved remarkable success in the 36th State Level Roller Skating Championship, held in Mangalagiri. Devaansh won both silver and bronze medals and has now qualified for the upcoming National Level Championship in December.

Grade 1 students embarked on an exciting “Let’s Explore the Globe” activity! They had the opportunity to discover different countries, cultures, and landmarks around the world. Through interactive lessons and fun activities, they explored fascinating facts about continents, animals, food, and famous places. It was a wonderful journey of learning and curiosity that sparked their imaginations and helped them understand the diverse world we live in!
