As we reflect on the year gone by, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support throughout 2024. It has been a year of remarkable achievements, and none of it would have been possible without your dedication and encouragement.
I am delighted to announce that Oakridge Visakhapatnam has been honored with the prestigious ET TECH X School Excellence Awards for 2024-25. We have secured top rankings of #1 in Andhra Pradesh, #1 in Visakhapatnam. We are ranked at #2 in India in the category of Top 10 Day-Cum-Boarding Schools (International Curriculum – IBDP/Cambridge Curriculum) and also received the Parents Choice Award 2024 at the India Schools Merit Awards by Education Today. These accolades are a testament to the strong partnership between the school and our parent community.
We are also excited to share that one of our students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the NAE-MIT STEAM student trip – another significant milestone for our school this year. Furthermore, we are immensely proud of our students who were recognized and awarded for their academic excellence during Term 1.

Oakridger shines in NAE-MIT STEAM Trip
We are thrilled to announce that Vibha Veeramachaneni, a Grade 9A student, was selected to join the NAE-MIT STEAM student trip! Her 6-day journey was packed with exciting and enriching activities, providing a memorable and hands-on experience.
During the trip, Vibha and her team worked on the fascinating project “Everything-Resistant Camera,” which will be taken by physicists to Antarctica to study the Aurora Borealis. Reflecting on her experience, Vibha shared, “It was an incredible opportunity to create prototypes and contribute to a real-world scientific project.”
Early University offer
We’re delighted to share that Devanshi from Grade 12 CBSE has received an offer from The Pennsylvania State University, ranked 89th in the QS World Rankings, for the prestigious Chemical Engineering program.

Alumni meet was filled with smiles as alumni reconnected and picked up conversations where they had left off. Fun games were organized, and everyone had a blast while reminiscing and reliving old memories.
CNN ‘Call to Earth’
As part of the CNN Call to Earth’ initiative, approximately 50 students visited Biodiversity Park, where they planted trees and engaged in an insightful discussion with DFO S. Venkatesh and Sub-DFO K. Sree Vani. They emphasized the importance of protecting our natural resources and highlighted the actions everyone can take to combat climate change. The interaction inspired a strong sense of responsibility and environmental awareness among the students.
Christmas Celebrations
It’s Christmas! Oakridgers spread joy by creating festive Christmas trees and snowmen. Performed engaging play and dances that brought cheer to everyone! ❄️⛄

Engaging session on ‘Career Counselling’
We were excited to have Ms. Swetha, Managing Partner & Senior Counsellor at Oaks Overseas Education. She conducted an engaging session on ‘Career Counselling’ for Grade 10 CBSE students, offering valuable guidance on selecting subjects for Grade 11 that align with their personal interests and future career goals. She stressed the importance of developing a strong conceptual foundation as the key to success in any field.
Exploring AI!
We were excited to welcome Mr. Soma Dhavala, Director of Machine Learning and Visiting Professor at IIIT Bangalore, who delivered an insightful session on ‘AI Concepts and Applications’ to our IBDP students! His engaging presentation sparked curiosity, leading students to ask thought-provoking questions and delve deeper into the topic.
Field Trip to Fluent Grid
Class 8J recently visited the campus of Fluent Grid, an innovative software company making strides in smart and sustainable solutions. The field trip offered a unique opportunity for the students to explore the intersection of technology, sustainability, and green innovation.
The visit began with an engaging session where students were introduced to Fluent Grid’s solutions. The presentation highlighted how the company leverages advanced technology to make cities smarter and more sustainable. From energy management to digital transformation, students gained a basic understanding of how these solutions contribute to a better future.
Christmas snowman art
Grade 2 students explored the world of snowmen through pastel art! Using vibrant pastels, students learned how to blend colors and create beautiful winter scenes. Each student added their personal touch, making unique snowmen with bright scarves, hats, and snowy backgrounds. This hands-on project not only enhanced their artistic skills but also encouraged creativity and imagination, allowing them to bring the chilly charm of winter to life on paper!
Step-Up Program
Our Step Up program has played a key role in fostering positive relationships, and establish a sense of purpose and direction. Grade 5 students recently participated in the Step Up program, where they displayed great enthusiasm in exploring the exciting learning opportunities awaiting them in Grade 6.
