The IGCSE curriculum is a challenging programme for adolescent learners in Grades 6-10 in this curriculum. This programme places specific emphasis on the holistic development of students and their individual abilities and levels of understanding. Their learning is further broadened with values and sound judgments challenging their emotional, physical, psychological and social well-being. It lays an excellent foundation for literacy and numeracy in the early stages of students’ lives.

This culturally sensitive curriculum is designed for an international context and encourages multilingualism while avoiding cultural bias. Our students are helped to develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning, combining clear and defined content with developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem-solving. The CBSE programme from Grades 6th – 12th is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge. Through the CBSE curriculum, we help improve your child’s learning performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem-solving. The aim of the curriculum is to expand the student’s knowledge of a wide range of subjects, while encouraging them to analyse and make connections between them. Broadly the subjects taught to the Middle Years Programme provide students with learning objectives to ensure a base of knowledge in each area of study. In this way Oakridge affirms the dynamic pattern of the three stages – inquiry, action, and reflection as essential relationships found in every unit of study. Your child will learn to apply techniques learned in one subject to several others, and will be able to learn at a pace that they find comfortable.   • Assessment of speaking and listening to help improve and standardize students’ communicative skills 
  • Extensive research-based projects carried out in multifarious subjects like Math, Science, Social Science and English 
  • Students are also given a platform to nurture their talents through subject events such as Math Wizard, Literary Extravaganza, Scientific Oakridgers, Youth Parliament and Literary Event conducted for Language II. 
  • Integrated and Interdisciplinary curriculum: The curriculum apart from classroom teaching integrates practical work, guest lectures, field trips and project work 
  • Integrating a rigorous academic curriculum with immersive global experience. Learning concepts are followed by engaging activities that reinforce the CCE pattern of CBSE 
  • Smart Class Technology in all our classrooms helps to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real world. Tabs have also been introduced in the curriculum of grade IX to aid classroom transactions effectively. Students also get their share of usage in technology, where they intensively research in diverse fields of education.
