The Library: A Cornerstone of Educational Development

Library as an Integral Part of our Education, as gateways to knowledge and culture, libraries play a fundamental role in society. The resources and services they offer create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society.

Oakridge International School, Bachupally has incorporated the culture of reading among the students right from Pre-Primary to Grade-12th standard. Our Library classes are designed in such a way which gives an opportunity of integration of all the subjects. Students get the exposure to the international minded set up and try to surmise on the global perspectives.

Reading helps to exercise our comprehension abilities and our analytical abilities. It fires up our imagination and stimulates the memory which centers of your mind. It helps recall information as well as stabilize our emotions.

Both physical and virtual set up has been arranged in order to cater to the varied interest of the students. Physical students get the opportunity to visit the beautiful Learning Resource Centre, which is equipped with a large variety of resources. These materials form the intellectual core of the library, and we endeavor to ensure that users have access to sources of information that are in serviceable condition. In order to preserve and share materials, circulation policies are in place.

Various hands on activities are done during the library classes to keep the readers engaged. The activities include-Redesigning the cover page of the book, bookmark making, research based project on author or the poet is done by the students .
