Principal Desk Update June 2023
- 8 June 2023
“To embark on the journey towards your goals and dreams requires bravery. To remain on that path requires courage. The bridge that merges the two is commitment.”
Dear Parents,
Greetings from the Principal’s Desk!
I delightfully welcome you all to the Academic year of 2023-2024. The school will be reopening in a phase-wise manner, starting from Nursery, EY1, and EY2 on Mon 12 June, followed by the whole school from Wed 14 June.
I am confident that this academic year will yield countless new achievements as we continue to come together, make connections that add value to our lives, and lay the foundation for catalyzing positive change in our local and global communities.
We already witnessed significant success in the conclusive results of the 2023 CBSE Grade 12 and Grade 10 Examinations. This came because of numerous interventions, teamwork, diligence by staff , and productive partnerships with parents. Our Summer Learning Program 2023 was a roaring success that provided an array of expertly crafted activities with personalized fun learning and fostered resilience, creativity, and out of box thinking.
We know your strong partnership will significantly impact your child’s education. We recognize that to succeed in school, our children need support from home and school.
Our incredible staff of educators has been in school to prepare classrooms for the new school year. The dedicated staff at Oakridge has been working tirelessly to finalize classes and schedules, fine-tune our instructional models, engage in professional learning opportunities, and update class routines and expectations, all with the goal of fostering academic success. We are grateful to our amazing custodial staff, who kept our school pristine all summer.
A few important information details from my end are:
To create a seamless communication system, we request you to review and update the parent details on the school post and download the Oakridge app. Please refer to the playbook for more details
Attendance in school is mandatory unless there arises an emergency or inevitable reason to stay back home. We expect a 95% attendance for every student.
Parents are requested to opt for Lunch and transport at the earliest through school post or email transport.bachupally@oakridge.in for transport and fnb.bachupally@oakridge.in for lunch.
Nursery to Gr 5 parents (senior siblings are allowed) must drop the students at the front gate, while senior school students (only) can be dropped at the rear gate.
Parent cards will be provided to all own transport parents at the beginning of the academic year. It’s mandatory to carry it while picking up your ward from school.
Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones to school.
The class teacher will be the first point of contact for all matters, followed by the coordinator. Do reach out to the school leadership team for any support and guidance at any point in time.
Please be informed that Ms. Prasanti, Mr. Sai Krishna, and Mr. Azmat have decided to move on. We wish them all the very best in their future endeavors. Ms. Srilakshmi Balakrishnan has joined us as DPC, and Ms. Rajee Raja has been promoted as the CBSE coordinator for Gr 9 &10. We have also introduced two new admin SLT positions this year, and it includes IT Manager – Mr. Naga Krishna Kumar Sripada and HR Manager- Ms Sangeeta Singh.
Significant positive changes will be taking place this academic year, and some will be expatriated at the Parents’ Orientation and Meet Your Teacher programme. We will continue focusing on integrating Social Justice Standards, Responsive Classroom community-building techniques, and social and emotional support strategies into our students’ daily school experience.
Our teachers are eager to meet the students and begin this year’s journey with them. We are most excited to have you back on campus. For the old students, I hope you enjoyed your break and are ready to reach for the stars. And for our new students, you made the right choice coming to this citadel of learning. Emerge yourself in the learning process; the sky is your stepping stone to greatness!
