Our thanks to you, our students, and our faculty and staff for the diligence, patience, and support at any specific time. Let us together build the lives of our children to enable them to conquer the world.
The students from Nursery to Grade 12 have started coming to school and it relieved them to a great extent to sit in the classrooms, and have productive interaction with teachers and friends.
We would like to express our gratitude to our parents for the immense trust that they bestowed upon us. Together with our parents, we would like to work to bring about Child Education and welfare which takes the highest priority in nurturing the lives of our children. Bond today for a better tomorrow
The first month of any new academic year is a crucial time for both teachers and the taught and often sets the tone for the entire school year. Positive experiences in school are a source of self-affirmation and help the children during the entire year. Students are taken through expeditions and exploration of the content to enter a world of knowledge and bliss. They also become enthusiastic and excited about the opportunities that they are exposed to and plunge themselves completely.
Our little Oakridgers are set for another wonderful year. As we welcome our new batch of tiny tots, Our campus resounded with giggles and gale .”Our young Oakridgers of early years were invited to meet their new teacher along with parents before they begin their academic year after the summer break. ”
Scaling new heights, our Primary Oakridgers walked back to school with great vigour and infinite zeal. The bundle of talents was engaged in learning through creative hands-on activities. An assembly on the theme of Well being and staying positive was hosted.
‘Play Reading’, Create your Music, Fridge to fabulous, Cookie face-Pack attack, and Show and tell was a few of the many activities conducted to build a strong student connection.
We had a Terrific time with parents who uncorked a strong bond. We had lighter and more fun-filled activities to know each other, and games with their kids to further and strengthen their bonding too;
The Art of Giving: Community Service in action
“Full Plates Full Hearts”
Food grain donation drive to achieve SDG-2 – Zero hunger. A gesture of kindness was displayed by our Early year students when they shared a fistful of 1 kg of rice, pulses, flour, sugar and salt for our helping staff and caretakers who safeguard our little ones with warmth and affection.
Goonj: “Khushiyon ka recycle”
A whole school initiative for a noble cause and to bring a smile to a student in need, in association with Goonj to donate school supplies like stationery, bags, shoes, old toys, water bottles, and clothes. It was heartwarming to see so many donations right from our tiny tots to senior grade students. Kudos to them for displaying the spirit of giving.
“Save seed campaign”
Our CAIE and CBSE 6th graders teamed up with the Jagathi Foundation for an initiative to promote social awareness of the environment and celebrate “Van Mahotsav week” students made organic fruit seed balls with the intent to disperse and scatter them in the open areas and forest cover regions. These seed balls will eventually turn into fruit-bearing trees and become a Joy to the neighbourhood and nature.
“Clean plate challenge”
Aiming at SDG 2 zero hunger our Cambridge Grade 5 students voiced out their thoughts and have initiated counselling their juniors of grades 1-4 to reduce food wastage. They have challenged them to have a “Clean Plate – Take what you Eat, Eat what you take”
Lively Experiences
The year began with International Yoga day. Mr. Manas, our PE coordinator, conducted various sessions on Asanas and the significance of Yoga in one’s life was demonstrated. It was initiated to create awareness of the importance of Yoga in physical and mental well-being.
‘Music is the heart of life’ – Franz Liszt
Our learners observed ‘World music day’ on 21st June 2022 in their respective classes. At Oakridge, we encourage our parent community to be active participants in this learning journey of their child and some of our parents joined us for a guest lecture and taught many amazing songs and facts about music. On the whole, it was a melodious day at Oakridge Bachupally.
School Parent partnership
We, at Oakridge, strongly believe that your child’s education is built upon a working partnership between the school and you, as parents. We know for sure that parents are one of our important stakeholders and their contribution to the school’s efforts makes a vital difference to the child’s academic progress, emotional growth, and acclimatization in the school.
We are continuing our Oakridge Parent Partnership Programme consisting of Grade/Curriculum representatives that will work with the School for the welfare and well-being of the student, aiding the School’s overall progress.
We are grateful to all the OPP partners for their time and assistance over the last year. We are seeking nominations/ volunteers for the OPP for grades Nursery-Grade 12.
Interested parents are requested to fill out the form and upload their photographs to the form on or before July 11
On the whole, June was a happening month, though having teething issues, everything fell in place and we are almost back to normal at school. We hope that the same trust and cooperation will continue and together build the lives of our children.
Stay safe!!! Stay strong.
