Indrani Roy

Ms. Indrani Roy is a compassionate and dedicated science pioneer with a strong foundation in both research and teaching. She holds a Master’s degree in Microbiology and has conducted research in Gene Cloning of Microbes at the prestigious National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi. She had also cleared the RDC for a PhD program, further strengthening her academic and research credentials.
With over 12 years of teaching experience across national and international institutions, she has worked as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology in Indian colleges and as a Biology/Science Facilitator in schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In 2016, she joined Oakridge International School, Bengaluru, where she continues to inspire young minds through her innovative teaching approaches.
She had the privilege of attending a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Teachers PD Workshop at the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education. This transformative experience further fueled her passion for fostering creativity and critical thinking among her students.
Recognized as a National Young Scientist Awardee by ISCA, Ms. Roy believes in nurturing her students’ curiosity and scientific spirit. She proudly refers to her students as “Young Scientists” and considers them one of her greatest assets. Her genuine affection and empathy have helped her build strong and lasting bonds with them.
Ms. Roy firmly believes that every child holds a treasure within. Her mantra, “My students are my greatest strength,” reflects her unwavering dedication to their growth, well-being, and success.
