Hindi Diwas & Dot Day at Oakridge Mohali
- 28 September 2024
It was a lively burst of creativity and culture at Oakridge International School Mohali when our passionate learners and teachers celebrated Hindi Diwas and International Dot Day. These events embarked upon unity in action and creativity in all. These are the tenets of Oakridge when it comes to fostering an integrated approach towards excellence.
For International Dot Day, students made bright art that changed the outlook of a mere dot into creative pieces. Frequencies of painting came from the tips of the paintbrushes and were frequently used to fill the small canvases with dots, creating more complex patterns and designs. It was seen in the scenic paintings how our artisans had developed their painting skills better and how innovative they were. Specifically, when students were assigned various tasks by group members and tried to find out the work and outcomes of everyone in one big tag, they learned how it works. It was therefore characterized by their extraordinary balanced and reflective approach lasting impressions on the school community.
On the same day, the Hindi Diwas was also observed during the assembly in a quite inspiring manner, explaining the need to keep our mothers’ language alive. Our little learners paid their best fares as they delivered exceptionally immense inspirational speeches, performed skits, and sang melodious Hindi songs explaining the importance of Hindi language in our cultural values.
It was also a way for them to highlight to their students how crucial the Hindi language is with regards to culture. To ensure that students can comprehend the immense power of this language in uniting people from diverse backgrounds globally.
These dual celebrations not only highlighted the richness of the skill set among the learners but also enunciated how language and creativity are interwoven in the process of education. The success of these events reflects the commitment of Oakridge to carrying out a vibrant ambiance for the learning process within which diversity and creativity can thrive.
Hindi Diwas and International Dot Day celebrations at Oakridge International School Mohali helped the IB learners realize the role of heritage and creativity in fostering open-mindedness, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity. Together, we are building a community of lifelong learners, prepared to make meaningful contributions to an increasingly globalized world.
