Negotium 2024, organized by Grade 12 CBSE students, Inspired by the popular TV show Shark Tank, the competition provided students from Grades 9 to 12 (IB and CBSE) an opportunity to present innovative business ideas to a distinguished panel of judges acting as investors.
Themed “Social Entrepreneurship”, the event encouraged participants to propose business solutions that address pressing social and environmental challenges while maintaining financial viability.

An Event to Remember
The Organizing Committee worked tirelessly for over a month to ensure the success of this grand event. The panel of distinguished judges included Mr. Nagesh Kumar Battula, Founder & CEO of Organo Eco Habitats; Mr. Nitin Navandher, Co-Founder & CEO of Imavatar; Mr. Girish Akash, Head of Partnerships & Placements at NxtWave; and Mr. Vihaan Singh Kandhari, Founder & MD of Flamingoo Kitchens & Hospitality Pvt Ltd.

Showcasing Creativity and Impact
The competition saw incredible ideas come to life:
Brikly (CBSE Grade 10): The winning team revolutionized sustainable construction with innovative plastic bricks.
EcoBox (DP2): Secured second place with eco-friendly reverse vending machines for recycling.
Bamboo Bike Company (DP2): Addressed the demand for sustainable transportation with bamboo bicycles, earning third place.
Students described the experience as transformative. “Negotium pushed us to think beyond profits and focus on creating a positive impact,” said Team Brikly, whose journey was supported by their mentor, Danish.

A Memorable Conclusion
The event concluded with thought-provoking addresses by the judges and the Principal, Ms. Dipika Rao. Awards were distributed to the winning teams, and the Organizing Committee was lauded for their dedication. A heartfelt vote of thanks brought the curtain down on this remarkable event, leaving everyone inspired by the possibilities of sustainable entrepreneurship.
