Ms. Ritu Agrawal firmly believes that learning is an opportunity for all children to achieve their aspirations. The importance of learning through play and personalised learning is at the heart of her professional practice. She started her teaching career in 2001 with Early years. Her association with Oakridge International School started in 2005 and she has more than 15 years of IB PYP experience in diverse disciplines – Home room teaching, Team leader and Segment coordination. Education for Ms. Ritu, does not mean providing answers but it means equipping the students with the means to find the answers for themselves and within themselves.
Her expertise has been accentuated by a series of professional IB training programmes over the years She is trained and familiar with the IB pedagogy, has attended several IB Regional Workshops, and visited many schools across countries. She has expertise in planning Early Years Curriculum through innovation and creativity, technology integration, assessment and evaluation, professional development and school administration related skills.
She is actively involved in the learning process and makes it her goal to make every child’s education a positive, happy experience and to help develop the confidence necessary to become a risk-taking, problem-solving, life-long learner. It is about building character and empowering each individual to be an enthusiastic life-long learner and a global citizen of the future.
Her leadership style is working with the school community towards setting high standards and achieving them. She has an inherent acumen to connect with all – from students to teachers to the parent community with equal grace and ease. A mentor and a coach by nature, her strength as a leader stems from her approachability, her unparalleled energy and extremely grounded strategies. She works to ensure that the curriculum, the learning environment, staffing, resources and community involvement in the school are all focused on quality outcomes for students. Her core strength comes from her clear understanding of the curriculum along with building and nurturing strong teams that are dedicated, committed and inspired.
