Patriotism Soared as School Celebrated Independence Day

The Independence Day celebrations were nothing short of spectacular. The entire campus buzzed with patriotic fervor as students and staff came together to commemorate the nation’s freedom.

Junior students, dressed in tricolor attire, participated in various activities, while the sweet aroma of tri-colored sweets filled the air. Senior segment showcased their talents via One-Act play!

The day kicked off with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by heartwarming speeches that reminded us of the sacrifices made by our forefathers.

Extending a Helping Hand: Relief Efforts in Disaster-stricken Areas 

Our Share A Dream team displayed remarkable solidarity with those affected by recent disasters in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Demonstrating unwavering support, the Oakridge community rallied together, contributing over 210 kgs of dry pulses, grains, rice, and essential aid materials. These provisions were dispatched to the Pragya Foundation in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, an NGO deeply involved in providing relief to the distressed communities.

This selfless gesture showcased Oakridge students’ deep empathy and their commitment to serving as agents of positive change. 

IBDP Student spearhead Student Clubs

IBDP students, guided by dedicated teacher mentors, spearheaded an array of vibrant student clubs that enriched campus life in secondary segment.

These clubs, including MUN, Eco, Share A Dream, Basketball, Photography, Dance, Journalism, Chess, Track and Field, Music, Art, and Public Speaking, fostered a diverse range of interests and talents among students.

Through these clubs, school aims to leave an indelible mark by shaping well-rounded individuals with a passion for learning and collaboration.

Interhouse Basketball Competition Delivers Thrilling Showdowns!

The court was alive with the electric energy of competition as four houses battled it out on the hardwood in our annual Interhouse Basketball Competition. The crowd roared with excitement as players displayed their skills, from lightning-fast dribbles to jaw-dropping slam dunks.

Tensions ran high, and every basket was celebrated with thunderous cheers. In the end, it was Picasso House that emerged victorious in both Grade 6-8 and Grade 9-12 categories, but all participants left the court with their heads held high, knowing they had given their all in this unforgettable clash of talent and determination.

Shining Stars: Celebrating Excellence at the Award Ceremony

The morning assembly at our school was transformed into a dazzling stage of recognition as we celebrated the remarkable achievements of our students at the SOF Olympiad, Silver Zone Olympiad, and NELTAS Olympiad Award Ceremony.

The air was filled with excitement and pride as our young talents were honored for their outstanding performance in these prestigious competitions. It was a moment of inspiration and motivation for all, as we applauded their dedication, hard work, and commitment to academic excellence.

Vihaan of Grade 6 won gold medals in U-13, U-15 singles and U-13 doubles in TIDA Junior Badminton Championship conducted by Mohali Badminton Association. 🏸🏆

Karate Prodigy Raahi Earns Coveted Blue Belt!

Raahi of Grade 3A has achieved a remarkable milestone in his martial arts journey by earning the prestigious blue belt. After months of unwavering dedication, rigorous training, and countless hours of practice, Raahi has successfully advanced from the purple belt to claim his 6th belt in karate.

His commitment and perseverance serve as an inspiration to all, proving that hard work and determination can lead to incredible achievements. Congratulations, Raahi!

In a stirring celebration of Independence Day, our school hosted an electrifying Interhouse One Act Play competition on the theme of ‘Freedom.’ Students from each house poured their hearts and talents into thought-provoking performances that encapsulated the spirit of liberty.

The event not only showcased the artistic prowess of our students but also served as a reminder of the enduring significance of freedom in our lives. It was a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s struggle for independence and a reminder that the quest for freedom, in all its forms, continues to inspire us all.

In a heartwarming display of creativity and environmental consciousness, early years students have taken a green approach to celebrating Raksha Bandhan.

Their efforts not only symbolize the bond of love and protection but also serve as a delightful reminder of the importance of nurturing our planet. These tiny hands are weaving a brighter, greener future one rakhi at a time.

Students Embark on Educational Adventure Across Diverse Locations

Nursery students embarked on an enriching field trip to the Kharar vegetable and fruit Mandi, where they delved into the world of fruits and vegetables, enhancing their understanding of the ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ unit through hands-on experiences.

Meanwhile, Grade 2 explored the enchanting Butterfly Park in Chandigarh, Grade 4 and 5 visited Swaraj Tractors, gaining insights into the world of machinery, and EYP2 immersed themselves in nature at a picturesque farmhouse.

These diverse educational journeys offered our students valuable lessons beyond the confines of the classroom, creating memorable learning experiences.

Empowering Education Through Parent-Community Collaboration: Inspiring Guest Lectures Fuel Learning

Our young Nursery learners embarked on a journey towards a ‘Healthy Lifestyle‘ with insights from Dr. Navdeep Kaur, while Grade 3 students delved deep into the crucial topics of ‘Human Rights and Responsibilities‘, courtesy of an engaging lecture by Mr. Prabhloch Singh, the Founder of Human Rights Protection and MFP Federation.

These enriching experiences are a testament to the incredible impact that collaborating with our parent community can have on our students’ education, igniting their curiosity and fostering a lifelong love for learning.
