To practice our values and live our promises, we conducted the Annual Employee Engagement Survey as a best practice for a friendly and respectful workplace. With approximately 90% staff participation, we secured valuable staff feedback, vital in building a supportive and nurturing environment.
Exploding with field trips this season, our learners witnessed immense exposure remarked as a major milestone in their learning history conducted through multiple on-site visits and assimilated knowledge about such an environment. The field trips had the following highlights:
Mini Jaggery Mill Visit (Grade 3):
On November 6, this virtual mode of visit helped our learners to physically explore the process of getting sugarcane, extracting juice, boiling it, and making jaggery. Thus, the exposure assisted the learners in valuing the local industry and the traditions of sustainable agriculture.
My Hindi & My Punjabi TV Channel Visit (Grade 4)
On November 7, our students explored various broadcasting modes and got fruitful insights into the real picture of marketing media through practical and interactive sessions with the channel associates.
Door Darshan Visit (Grade 5):
On November 7, Grade 5 visited one of the best telecasting networks in India, Door Darshan, and learnt about different communication channels. Part of this visit consisted of the practical aspect, in which our learners got the opportunity to see how media production and broadcasting equipment work.
Nurturing Nature and Embracing Wildlife
On November 7, our Grade 2 visited the Chattbir Zoo, interacting with the animals and being taught the importance of protecting the environment.
On November 28, our Grade EYP1 A & B had a plant nursery visit that inspired our little learners to love nature and understand how plants are nurtured and how they grow. Alongside, our Nursery students visited the famous Chattbir Zoo, facilitating playful learning about animals.
Our Oakridge Mohali students recently ventured out on an educational tour to Jaipur & Ranthambore which was quite interesting and enriching. Our students visited impressive forts, learnt the art of block printing, and adventured the wildlife sanctuaries and jungle safaris. From colorful folk dances to drafting their trip reflections, it treasured memory for a lifetime.
These trips not only added value to our students’ pragmatic exposure but facilitated them to develop experiential learning skills and their implementation in real-life situations.
Traffic awareness and safety
It was with great privilege that we honored our special guest, ASI Jaskraj Singh, to educate and address students’ concerns about licensing and road alertness. Moreover, he pointed out the major traffic laws and general useful recommendations to avoid traffic accidents, inspiring our students to become more cautious and safe future drivers.
Fun Rides to the World of Transport
Our nursery grade students got an exceptionally enjoyable yet informative opportunity to witness a guest lecture by Captain Abhinav Sharma. A comprehensive session on transportation, its mechanism, and ways to become organised through fun games and narrative experiences.
Our students left no stone unturned even in the sports domain, as they exhibited exemplary spirits of sportsmanship and thrived toward excellence. Some deserving highlights for the described month were:

Guru Purab being a significant and holy occasion, was beautifully curated, accompanying the sacred ritual of Prabhat Pheri along with a special assembly where the students demonstrated their affection and obedience towards the culture that has been followed on the land of their birth through prayers and Gurbanis.
Cherishing Smiles
The National Children’s Day Celebrations event climaxed with teachers singing songs, enacting role plays, and entertaining acts aimed at children. The children witnessed a true sense of affection at the school’s Amphitheatre, brimming with unconditional love and blessings.
Students attired like their dream profession, demonstrating their use of imagination. Doctors, engineers, astronauts, artists—our little professionals managed to captivate everyone’s attention. Another master stroke was the inter-house debate competition for both PYP and Secondary segments where all the participants landed with stellar performances offering cutthroat competition to their opponents. Furthermore, to conclude this global celebration, students from different grades partook in “the Pop-up Festival” which streamlined certain engaging activities as a part of this event.
Approaching the last quarter of this academic year, we would like to express our deepest regard and gratitude to all our students and team Oakridge, for always delivering the best of their potential. November turned out to be the perfect blend of celebrations and accomplishments. So, let us take this momentum to December, hit more such triumphs, and create lasting memories.
