Amman Academy in Jordan joins our Nord Anglia Family
- 5 September 2022
Founded in 1991, Amman Academy is a Pre-K to 12 school teaching ages 3 to 19 bilingually in English and Arabic. Amman Academy in Jordan joins Nord Anglia’s five other premium schools in the Middle East, which means we are now part of 81 schools across 32 countries. Our new school is situated in the Levant area of the Eastern Mediterranean and in Jordan’s popular neighbourhood of Khalda in West Amman.
Amman Academy is not only one of the best IB schools in Jordan — having become an IB World School in 2006 — it’s often seen as having one of the best IB offerings worldwide. In the last year, its average IBDP score was an incredible 40.4, with 64% of students achieving a 40+ score. Since the IBDP was introduced at Amman Academy, the school has maintained a perfect pass rate (100%) every year.
Given that Nord Anglia Education is the world’s largest provider of the IB, it’s also fitting that Amman Academy is one of the few schools in Jordan authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme, including the Middle Years Programme and the Primary Years Programme. Students go on to attend the world’s top universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, University College London, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Princeton, McGill and others.
