Two Decades of Inspiring and Transforming Dreams into Reality

Oakridge International School, Gachibowli, was established in 2001, at the start of a new millennium, when the 21st century ushered global awareness, a priority for social and academic success. The landmark institution was envisioned to meet the ever-growing expectations of parents in the era of globalization and to build a community of global learners.

THE LEGACY SCHOOL

Tummala Naga Prasad and Yarlagadda Rajasekhar Babu started Oakridge, a pioneering IB school in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, under the visionary guidance of dynamic educationist Shomie Das. Soon, 5 schools were set up across India, upholding the same ethos, culture and international standards.

The successful completion of 20 years is testimony to the vision and dedication of the promoters, teachers and staff and the faith of parents in Oakridge and it’s educational philosophy. I am sure Oakridge will continue serving the city of Hyderabad with innovative teaching and learning , under the guidance of Nord Anglia Education” says Shomie Das, who continues to be the Education Advisor for all Oakridge International Schools.

BUILDING A GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY

In 2019, Oakridge became a part of Nord Anglia Education (NAE) group which spans across continents and cultures. This association has created excellent global opportunities for students to learn, collaborate and compete globally through Global Campus, an exclusive platform. NAE collaborations with MIT and UNICEF have further broadened the horizons for the students to explore and learn with experts, thus helping them stay ahead.

Oakridge International School, Gachibowli has been providing outstanding educational opportunities for 20 years. Congratulations on all the success achieved academically, personally and collectively for all of the students, staff and families who form the school community. Here’s to the next 20 years of success,” says Brian Cooklin, Managing Director, Nord Anglia Education India.

The prestigious institution has also been identified among the ‘Top 10 International schools of India’ and ‘Top 5 Schools of the State’ according to other surveys by renowned organizations.

Year after year, Oakridge students have proved their competency and set the bar high with outstanding academic results across curricula. Since then students have consistently achieved the perfect score, with a record-breaking four 45s in 2021 results. Whereas Vasana Srivasan was CBSE AISSE state topper in 2020 with a 99% aggregate.

Avnish Kumar, Managing Director, NEERUS Group, an Oakridge Alumnus of class 2008 says “As every parent wanted to give the best education to their child, they wanted me to change guard after Grade 6. I was fortunate back then as they chose Oakridge in 2002, the only promising International School at that time with a holistic approach for a New Age Student in Hyderabad. As an alumni I can say whatever I am today professionally, it’s due to the strong foundation of Oakridge Group in my High School. I always like to be the First or the only in what I do professionally, this mantra maybe started long back when even my school was the First or the Only of its kind”.

ACKNOWLEDGING AND ACCEPTING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Community service is the soul of Oakridge and compassion is inculcated among students right from early years education, so they strive for the betterment of the society. TRANSFORMATIONAL EDUCATION BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
