Dear Parents

Greetings!

November at Oakridge began with a lot of positivity, excitement, spookiness and joy. Our students of CBSE Grade 12 and  IBDP 2 started their University Application process in October for known study destinations like the USA, UK, Canada, Australia & Singapore. I am happy to share that so far 3 students have received offers from University of Sydney and Deakin University, Australia with a 20% annual scholarship.

This month students are going to be occupied with a lot of events happening around the campus. We recently had our two day sky gazing program where students from grade 4 to 9 observed celestial objects like Jupiter, faces of the moon, and stars. Our Early Years Oakridgers are going out on field trips to the zoo where they are observing and learning about  plants and animals. 

I am delighted to inform you that the inter house cultural competitions for this Academic year have successfully been conducted and it was wonderful to watch our students perform in a mesmerizing manner. 

Now it’s time for them to compete on a global platform. Global Campus worldwide events bring students from across the world to work together on service, leadership or personal adventure experiences.In the coming months a lot of competitions like Visual Arts, Debate, Dance, Music and Creative Writing are going to happen at the international level and I wish and hope that your continued support will always be there for our students. Also as a part of Nord Anglia Education, we are sending our students to Les Martinets, Switzerland expedition, where our students get to take their learning outside the classroom and open their eyes to the world around them. 

We also had wonderful inhouse events happening at school like the Ocean Conservation Conference where students from Oakridge as well as other schools participated to discuss the importance of ocean conservation and presented projects based on their survey on various problems related to ocean pollution and presented with solutions to conserve oceans. Our Grade 1 students from the early year learning centers had a wonderful visit to the main campus for their Step-Up programme where they were engaged by the primary students with amazing activities with a  puppet show, Math hands on activity, physical exercise and lastly with the fun factory.

We have recently launched an anonymous digital suggestion box for our students to express their thoughts and worries regarding bullying and other well being related issues as our students safety and contentment is the utmost priority to us. 

My thanks again to everyone for a wonderful start to the term. Above all, our thanks to all the students for their smiles and their commitment which makes it such a joy to be part of our school!
