Warm greetings!
I am pleased to update you on the enriching experiences our students have been enjoying this September. Our calendar has been filled with events that reflect our commitment to comprehensive education and community involvement.
University & College Placements:
The Class of 2025 has started receiving offers from universities. We have our first admission from the IBDP: Ranajoy has received a placement offer at the University of Melbourne for a Bachelor of Science, which is ranked 14th globally. From the CBSE Class of 2025, Aadharshini has an offer from the University of Sydney QS world rank 17, and Srikar has an offer from the University of Melbourne for a Bachelor of Science.
Teacher’s Day Celebrations:
Teacher’s Day was a meaningful tribute to the dedication and hard work of our educators. The day featured appreciation, performances, and heartfelt messages, highlighting our deep respect and gratitude for our teaching staff.
Field Trips:
Our students have recently embarked on several educational field trips: Biodiversity Park: They explored diverse ecosystems and learned about conservation. Gitam Medical College: This visit provided insights into the field of medicine and potential career paths. Zoo: Students observed wildlife and learned about animal behavior. Andhra Medical College: This trip enhanced their understanding of medical sciences and future career opportunities in the field.
Competitions:
The recent Inter-House sports and performing arts competitions were notable highlights, showcasing enthusiastic participation, cheers, and a strong sense of House pride. The spirit of teamwork and competition was truly inspiring.
Upcoming Events:
Global University Fair: We will be hosting a Global University Fair, offering students a valuable opportunity to explore higher education options and interact with representatives from prestigious institutions worldwide. This event will broaden their horizons and provide insights into future academic paths.
Leadership Camp: Approximately 65 students from grades 9 to 12 will attend a Leadership Camp in Wanaparthy, Hyderabad. This camp is designed to develop leadership skills, enhance teamwork, and build self-confidence through engaging activities and workshops.
National Trip to Bengaluru-Mysore-Coorg: We are excited to announce a combined educational and recreational trip to Bengaluru, Mysore, and Coorg from October 2, 2024, to October 8, 2024. This trip will offer students a unique opportunity to explore two of India’s most historically and culturally significant cities.
Global Campus Competitions: This year’s competitions include the Virtual Young Musician of the Year, the Bitesize Cinema GC Reels Competition, Art Competition, and Writing Competition. Login guides for the Academic Year 2024-2025 have been sent to all parents, with further information to follow as these activities unfold.
#OakridgeEco-Ganesha Challenge: We are excited to launch the #OakridgeEcoGanesha Challenge, a unique opportunity to combine creativity with environmental stewardship. Participants are encouraged to create eco-friendly idols for Ganesh Chaturthi and share their pictures or videos on social media, tagging our school’s page.
