Middle Years Programme

Our curricula for middle years is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge

We use the IGCSE and CBSE curricula as the basis for our classes in Middle Years. The IGCSE Curriculum enables students to confidently transition from primary education to the CBSE or IGCSE Middle Years Programme and develops the skills and confidence your child will need to thrive. The aim of these curricula are to expand the student’s knowledge of a wide range of subjects, while encouraging them to analyse and make connections between them. Our curricula at middle year builds on your child’s knowledge and gives them the tools and confidence to critique what they hear and see, and to embark on their own learning outside of the classroom. In the Middle School, your child will focus upon honing the skills that will be required for future success. The main tools for this curricula are accessed through our curricula.

It is important for us that our students are able to think globally, work well in groups and be confident enough to take their own path where necessary. Our curriculum gives students the skills and knowledge they will need for the transition into secondary school and their further education, as well as making a strong and positive contribution to society. As an all-through school, we benefit from opportunities to make the transition from primary school to secondary school smoother. In Grade 6, specific transition days are held throughout the year so children can get a taste of what secondary school is like and feel confident and supported moving up to secondary school.
