Believe it or not, too often, people assume that women are not true sports fans. Here’s our Oakridger Sanuthi from grade 8, a true athlete and an avid runner, who not only ‘likes’ sports but love participating in multiple sports. Her achievements are never-ending and have no stop to it because she takes advantage of every single opportunity when it’s about performing in any sports. She has brought many laurels in recent times and has added multiple feathers to her cap. Recently, she participated in the World Championship of Triathlon and Biathlon as well as in the Sri Lankan National Skating Meet and turned as champion.
Her past achievements:
Apart from running, which she believes, gives her energy to go throughout the day, she has a keen interest in multiple other sports, and she connects each with contentment. Swimming helps to refresh her mind and body. Shooting that helps her increase the level of concentration. “Dedication, determination, desire are the 3 D’s needed for success”, says Sanuthi.
Though, the journey was not easy as it looks like, managing time between studies and sports challenged her stamina. With a lot of workout and practice, she has been able to develop the stamina she needed to participate in such arduous sports one after one. With satisfying happiness, she shared how the school was so supportive to help chase her dream and manage both academics and sports. She says multitasking gives her happiness.
However, this is the only part of her success story. The other part is her academics, in which she excels. Getting into the ASSET TALENT SEARCH SECOND LEVEL TEST is one of her main highlights in studies. In school, Sanuthi has been seen in almost all the school activities with a good sport, which helped her develop skills like speaking, debating, etc. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
