Testament to being ambitious
- 14 April 2021
Two students of Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam Prakeerthi S. and Varshitha have performed exceptionally well in the recent Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT). Prakeerthi S., currently pursuing the IB Diploma Program has scored a record 1560 on 1600, and Varshitha, a student of CBSE has achieved a score of 1550 on 1600, which puts them both in the top 99+ percentile ranks worldwide.
Prakeerthi (IBDP Grade 11) scored 800 out of 800 in Math and 760 out of 800 in the evidence-based reading and writing in English. She attributes her success to her diligent and reflective approach to her Math practice and her love of reading from a wide variety of sources. Being an IB student at Oakridge, Prakeerthi has learnt to manage her time wisely between her academics, duties as a Head Girl of school, extracurricular activities and her work for a charity organisation called Paint2see Creations [www.paint2see.com]. Her career aspirations lie in Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise.
Varshitha (Grade 12), after securing 9th rank in the IPMAT merit list out of 962 students who were interviewed, is attending IIM Indore and aspires to go to Cornell University, USA. She believes that “Excellence happens not by accident. It is a process”. Senior leaders at Nord Anglia Education and Mr. Amit Jain, Director Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam have expressed pride and joy at the students’ ambitious achievements and wish Prakeerthi and Varshitha great success in their future endeavors.
